employers, and visitors.
These terms comply with Kenya's Data Protection Act, GDPR (where applicable), and Employment Act.
We are committed to protecting your rights and data privacy.

Eligibility Requirements
To use Recruitment Room, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old or have legal guardian consent to use our services.
- Legal Capacity: You have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Kenyan law.
- Employer Requirements: Employers must provide valid business registration details and comply with Kenyan labor laws.
- Accurate Information: All information provided during registration must be current, complete, and accurate.
False information or misrepresentation may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

Account Obligations
When you create an account with Recruitment Room, you are responsible for maintaining its security and all activities that occur under your account.
- Accurate Information: Provide real, accurate, and up-to-date information at all times.
- Security: Keep your password secure and confidential. Never share your login credentials with others.
- Unauthorized Access: Notify us immediately at info@recruitmentroom.net if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
- Account Activity: You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account.
- Multiple Accounts: Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions is prohibited.

Content Guidelines
All content posted on Recruitment Room must comply with our community standards and applicable laws.
Prohibited Content
The following types of content are strictly prohibited on our platform:
- Discriminatory content based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, or sexual orientation
- Fraudulent job postings or misleading employment offers
- Hate speech, harassment, or threatening content
- Content that violates intellectual property rights
- Spam, scams, or pyramid schemes
- Adult or explicit content
Employer Responsibilities
- Job postings must comply with Kenyan Employment Act and labor laws
- Provide accurate job descriptions, requirements, and compensation details
- Ensure equal opportunity employment practices
- Do not request illegal or inappropriate information from candidates

Payments & Refunds
Payment Terms
- Job Posting Fees: Fees vary by package and are clearly displayed on our pricing page.
- Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, mobile money (M-Pesa), and bank transfers.
- Currency: All fees are primarily listed in US Dollars (USD). Other currencies apply where applicable based on your location.
- Automatic Renewal: Subscription packages auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Refund Policy
Refunds are granted only under the following circumstances:
- Duplicate payments or billing errors
- Platform technical errors preventing service access
- Cancellation within 48 hours of purchase (one-time packages only)
Approved refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days to the original payment method.

Intellectual Property
Users retain ownership of all content they upload to Recruitment Room, including resumes, job postings,
and profile information. However, by uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide,
royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on our platform.
- Platform Content: All platform design, logos, trademarks, and software are owned by Recruitment Room.
- User Content: You are solely responsible for the content you post and must have the necessary rights to share it.
- Copyright Protection: Do not upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights.

Disclaimers
Recruitment Room provides a platform to connect job seekers and employers. We make no guarantees regarding outcomes:
- No Job Guarantee: We do not guarantee job placement or that candidates will find suitable positions.
- No Candidate Guarantee: We do not guarantee that employers will find suitable candidates.
- Third-Party Links: We are not responsible for content on external websites linked from our platform.
- User Verification: While we strive to maintain quality, we cannot verify all information provided by users.
- Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence when engaging with other users. Always verify information independently.

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recruitment Room excludes liability for:
- Indirect Damages: Loss of profits, business, revenue, or opportunities.
- User Disputes: Disputes between employers and candidates, including contract disagreements or workplace issues.
- Technical Issues: Service interruptions, data loss, or technical outages beyond our reasonable control.
- User Content: Accuracy, legality, or quality of content posted by other users.
- Third Parties: Actions or omissions of third-party service providers.
Our total liability for any claims arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid
to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or KES 10,000, whichever is less.

Termination
Our Right to Terminate
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:
- You breach these Terms and Conditions
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- You violate community guidelines or content policies
- Your account remains inactive for more than 24 months
- We are required to do so by law or regulation
Your Right to Terminate
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Using the "Delete Account" option in your account settings
- Contacting our support team at info@recruitmentroom.net
Upon account termination, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Governing Law & Disputes
Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
Dispute Resolution
- Negotiation: We encourage users to first attempt to resolve disputes through direct communication with our support team.
- Mediation: If negotiation fails, parties may agree to mediation before pursuing legal action.
- Arbitration: Disputes may be resolved through arbitration via the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA).
- Legal Action: As a last resort, disputes may be brought before the appropriate Kenyan courts.
